We raise Maine Coons in our home and place them with people who are ready for the commitment a large, long lived, sociable cat represents.
Our Story
Cats First, Everything Else Second
Majestic Mainecoon Paws began with a simple preference: Maine Coons should grow up in a home, not in a run. Ours are raised indoors, underfoot, with people around them through the day. They meet the noise of a normal household from the start — the television, the kettle, the vacuum cleaner, visitors at the door — because a cat that has met those things settles into a new home far more easily than one that hasn't.
We keep our numbers small on purpose. It means every cat gets attention, grooming and handling every day, and it means we actually know each one: who is bold, who is quiet, who wants to be carried around and who would rather supervise from a shelf. That is the knowledge we use when we read your application.
We would rather a cat wait a few extra weeks for the right home than go quickly to the wrong one.

What to Expect
Adopting From Us
Every adoption starts with an application. It is not a hurdle for its own sake — it is how we learn about your home, your routine and your experience so we can tell you honestly whether the cat you have picked is a good fit, or suggest one who is.
What we ask of you
- Answer the application honestly, including the awkward parts.
- Be realistic about how many hours the cat will be alone.
- Understand that a Maine Coon is a long commitment, often fifteen years or more.
- Be prepared for grooming. A neglected Maine Coon coat mats quickly and painfully.
- Talk to us before rehoming, ever. We would rather help than have a cat passed on.
What you can expect from us
- A straight answer about each cat's temperament and needs.
- The records we hold for that cat, shared before collection.
- No pressure, and no deposit taken before we have actually spoken.
- A reply to your application, whether it is a yes or a no.
